BOULDER 1940 Daniel Koval Those who labor with their minds rule. Dan is one of our acknowledged leaders in scientific subjects; he is especially outstanding in chemistry, physics, and mathematics. But it is not to be thought that his only interest is in his studies, for Dan is an ardent photo fan and a member of the Hi-Y. We might also mention that he is active in school affairs, holding the responsible position of chief marshal. French Club 2, 3, 4, Junior- Senior Relay, Intramural Basketball, Junior-Senior Reception 3, Dra- matic Club, Round Table, Write-up Committee 4. William Waldemar Kumpu Language most shows the man. We haven't heard much from Bill in the last four years. He is quiet, reserved, and noted for his singing, harmonica playing, draw- ing, and ice skating. Bill works for the W. G. Payson Company and intends to become one of their clothing salesmen after graduation. Norma Henry Lacas Happy is the man who doeth all the good he talks of. Norman has been with us for a long time now and we've come to respect his quiet easy-going disposition. His interests are varied. His great ambition is to be a mechanic in a cotton factory. Robert Francis Lamb Reason governs the wise man. Robert enjoys photography and the excellent pictures which he has taken prove that he knows his stuff in photography. He belongs to the Turner Athletic Association where he practises running and where he trained for our relay team. Relay, Football 3. Anita Dorothy LaFleur The word impossible is not in my dictionary. Anita is a girl with very pretty reddish brown hair who is full of vim and vigor. Above all other things, she likes to play the piano. In spite of her interest in the piano Anita would like to do clerical work for her livelihood. Hockey, Basketball 3. Claire Simone Lalonde She can be as wise as we, And wiser when she wishes. Claire can be classified as a gay and frolicsome person. This statement may be verified by Mr. Woodbury who also tells us Claire ikes to have her history completely explained. As for her future ambitions, she wants to be a Number Please girl. Councillor 2, Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball 2, 3, 4, Senior Prom 4. Irene Leona Lambert Sunshine and humor, all the world over. Class Banner 3, French Club 3, 4, Dramatic Club 4. Esther Mae Leavenworth Exceeding pleasant to my eyes is she. We have yet to see this lass when she is feeling moody. This would be quite impossible, for her disposition is always pleasant. Esther is a bright-eyed lass, with pretty hair, smooth skin, and plenty of pep. She is an active member of the Girl Scouts, and you can usually see Essie performing her daily good deed. Esther hopes to secure a secretarial position after graduation.
