Louis Gerard Boudreau A friendship that makes the least noise, Is very often the most precious. Gerard is another quiet boy. His favorite sport is track, and his hobby is stamp collecting. After graduation Gerard intends to be a painter along with his father. Raymond Victor Bourgault A ready and steady chap, He wends his way along. Raymond is one of our quieter boys. His favorite sport is baseball, and although he hasn't been able to play it in our school athletic program, he gets enough of it by playing for the Fitchburg Rangers A. A. Raymond also ran for our class in the relay of '38. Relay Team, Intramural Baseball 3, Intramural Basketball 3, 4. Eugene Joseph Bouvier A merry heart dceth good like a medicine. Gene is a happy-go-lucky lad who hails from Leighton Street- He is one of those pupils wh o make themselves seldom seen but often heard. In class and out Gene is the center of laughter and usually winds up in 201. Gene loves skating and swimming. Robert Owen Brown He %vho is honest is noble Whatever his fortunes may be. Bob is an independent person who believes in doing his own work always. He likes to argue things out to the end as he is thorough in everything. His witty sense of humor usually gets him through with no hard feelings on either side. Bob, like the average student, believes in studying, but not too much. Rita Blanche Bourgeois Her smile is like a rainbow. Rita came to us in her junior year from East Jeffrey, N. H. Her favorite sport is roller skating, and as a hobby she collects stamps. After graduation Rita plans to return to East Jeffrey and work as a clerk in her aunt's store. Dramatic Club 3, 4. Eleanor Boyle She wears the rose of youth upon her. Red is noted for her dancing ability and her shining halo of titian hair. Red's ambition in life is to become a great dancer, and she has started her career by teaching at The Hillside Dancing Studio. She also enjoys driving her Plymouth. Glee Club 2, History Club 2, 3, Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4, Councillor 4. Yolanda Marilyn Bramante The pen is the tongue of the mind. Yola's one ambition is to become a journalist like Walter Winchell. She loves to imitate his style of writing, and hence she may be seen walking cautiously down the corridor collecting choice bits of gossip for her next English essay or story. Besides her interest in writing, she is a very good piano player. History Club 3, Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4, Art Club, Round Table, Write-up Com- mittee, Class Prophecy 4. Rosamond Zelda Brooks A good disposition that gold cannot buy. Rose came to us over two years ago from Townsend, in fact her favorite saying was, Out in Townsend. Maybe Fitchburg can top that now. Norman Joseph Berube Character makes its own destiny. Norman is quite a cut-up in class but all fooling stops when he takes hold of his drum major's baton. He is one of the best drum majors F. H. S. has ever had. A jolly fellow! Basketball 2, 3, Tennis 3, 4, Dramatic Club, Band 2, 3, 4. Christo Fred Bicoules The youth of a nation are the trustees of its posterity. Chris may strike you as being rather subdued and modest at first, but you soon discover that he is very friendly and decidedly a good sport. He can always he seen before school on the second floor corridor with several other male members of the class talking over the latest occurrences. Football 2, 3, History Club 3, Intra- mural Basketball 3, 4, Dramatic Club 4. Sam John Bicoules Learning has its value. Sam, who hails from the west side, has made himself well known around school. We believe this is because of his friendly manner, which is one of his best known assets. He has been a great sport enthusiast during his years in school. History Club 2, 3, Basketball, Football 2, 3, 4. August Simon Boucher He is a man cf his own mind. Gus is a short, dark-haired, friendly lad. He played on our illustrious football team which finally won a game. Other sports besides football also interest him. He ran in the Junior-Senior Relay and also played inter-class basketball. The school was also helped by his service as a marshal. Football 2, 3, 4, Basketball, Junior-Senior Relay 3, Baseball, Track Team 4, Marshal 4. Blanche Mary Berube Noise is not necessary for success. Blanche is a quiet girl who blushes every time someone speaks to her. She enjoys all sports, especially swimming and tennis. She is also a member of the French Club. She has not as yet decided what she is going to do after graduation. Basketball 2. Constance Bicoulis The burden which is well borne becomes light. Connie is our cheerful cherub around school. You always see her with a grin. Outside of school she is seen jerking sodas and fixing sundaes at the Candy Shop. French Club, History Club 3, Dramatic Club 3, 4, Basketball, Volleyball 4. Gilda Marie Bizzotti There is no wisdom like frankness. Hark! Do we hear a voice loudly proclaiming an opinion? Gilda can be seen, by appointment, any day between periods on ways and means of solving your difficulties. With her cooperative spirit this vivacious senior has manv friends. Dramatic Club 2, Glee Club 2, 3, 4. Barbara Ethel Blake Full of mischief, a jolly good sort. For a little girl, Barbara is an active one. On her winter schedule are skiing and skating. In summer, swimming takes up her time. She just can't make a day last long enough! Whatever she does, Barbara has a good time doing it. Many a time the corridors have rung with her hearty laugh. William Edward Brown To be respectable implies a multitude of little observances. William is a boy who is seldom heard from, being shy in speech but of great understanding. He has done remarkably well in sports about school. This fact, together with his build, has given us a true example of a clean-cut athlete. Football 3, 4, Marshal 4. Bernard Burwick A true friend is forever a friend. The vicissitudes of life hold nothing serious for Bennie. The width of that persistant little grin is often governed by the favors bestowed by Lady Luck in the course of a tennis match. Many hours are also spent down at Jay's, playing ping-pong. Bennie is one of the active members of our class. Junior-Senior Reception Committee 3, Glee Club 2, Basketball 2, 3, 4, Tennis 3, 4, Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4, Science Club 3, 4, Round Table, Class Prophecy 4. Carl Frank Caefer He accomplishes much in a little time. Mr. Einstein may find a competitor when Carl starts out on his own, for here is a boy with a love of the scientific. After hours we find Carl either skating or swimming, as the weather permits. He can crawl like Weissmuller and skate like Irving Jaffrey. He has a captivating personality. Joseph Cassinari He is a quiet observer. Joe is one from whom we hear very little. Joe's favorite sports are hunting and fishing. Most of his vacations are spent in his camp doing just that. He hopes to become successful in the Forestry Branch of Civil Service with which he hopes to be connected in the near future. Football 2, Relay Team 3, Intramural Basketball 4. Mazel Mott Brownhill Knowledge comes from faithful study. Mazel, better known to us as Tillie, is very fond of all animals but particularly of dogs. She is intensely interested in biology and chemistry, and someday she hopes to become a laboratory technician. Science Club 3, Class Motto Committee 3, Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4, Round Table 4, Write-up Committee 4. Lillian Doris Buckman To be merry becomes you. Lil is an attractive girl from Westminster. She is a great ad- mirer of the opposite sex. All her spare time in the summer is spent swimming at Wyman's Pond. Glee Club 2. Margaret Bull Knowledge is the great sun in the firmament. Peggy is one of our best dressers. She is noted for her sport jackets and her driving technique. Peg has always been able to stand up for her rights, and we've often wondered where her witty remarks originated. Aren't you lucky, boys, Peg intends to be a nurse? Dramatic Club 2, 3, Hockey 3, Marshal 4. Domenica Anna Buratti A quiet mind is ticker than a crown. Min likes all kinds of sports, but basketball in which she excels is her favorite. There is never a dull moment when Min is on the floor. Min has high hopes of becoming an artist or a designer of fashions. Basketball, Hockey, Volleyball 2, 3. 1 9 Page 16
