Algidio Pasquale Membrino A good worker who gets results. Membrino has always been known to be quiet around school and many of us were misled by his sober ex- pressions. To our surprise, he is quite the contrary and enjoys him- self at every opportunity. At pre- sent his hobby is setting up pins for the boys at the bowling alley. Junior-Senior Relay 3 Edward Thomas Donnelly A lad of nimble foot. Ed is a newcomer here, but he's made up for that long ago. He is a good dancer and he and his side- kick, Don Boyce, can often be seen at many of the local dances. Al- though he's quiet about the school, don't let him fool you, for he is not so silent outside. Ellen Valvakki Niemi A maiden who is richly blessed With loads of friends and happiness. Although Ellen is fond of danc- ing, her name always appeared on the Honor Roll. Her witty talk and friendliness won her many friends. As a pianist, she is quite accom- plished. Mary Parechanian A face with gladness spread, Soft smiles by human kindness bred. Mary is a quiet girl with a gen- tle disposition. She is careful to have her homework completed, but also finds time to sew and read. Her hobby is collecting snap-shots. William Wallace Revell A fine fellow, liked by all he meets. Bill is more quiet than some of us, but outside of school, so we hear, he is less silent. He is a dependable student. Bill's grin is known to many people and it has helped him to gain many friends. Richard Libby Noble His stately mien as well implied the martial pride as high-born heart. Dick is another of our football men and did very good work with the team. If you ever want an audi- ence for a joke, go to Dick. His countenance marks him as a man with many friends. Football 2, 3, 4 Marshal 'Write-up Committee of Boulder 4 Jacqueline Mary Devens Not bold, not shy, nor short, nor tall. But a good mingling of them all. Jacqueline is calm and serene, but she can smile very sweetly. Al- though not lazy, she never lets any- thing worry her. Jac is always ready to help a friend out of trouble and knows how to take a joke. 'We know that she will never get a ner- vous breakdown from studying. Hockey, Volleyball 2 Elwilda Marie Beaulieu Exceedingly wise. With imploring brown eyes. Edwilda is one of our dark-haired beauties with a tantalizing smile and lively, sparkling eyes. She has a gypsy type of character, always care- free, but when sad, very sad. 13

David John Sweeney Business before pleasure. Dave is a lucky fellow. He com- bines his business with his pleasure by serving as an usher at the Cum- ings Theatre. Our guess is that he studies between the acts to have the time he does for outside sports. At any rate, in whatever he does, he brings home the bacon. Basketball 2, 3 Lillian Gladys Filiponis Gentle to hear, kind to judge. Lillian may be small, but, oh my! She is quite a gay chatterer and her willingness to divert her schoolmates has brought her near 310, more than once! She is well liked, however, and supports her school with zest. Volleyball, Basketball 2 Dramatic Club 3 Andrew Hawthorne Cheerily greeting each oncoming da). Gilding with smiles each step of the way. Andy's chief characteristics are his devilish grin and happy-go-lucky manner. He never seemed to have a care, unless it was a new way to make life miserable for his teachers. We do not know Andy s plans for the future, but will wager that in whatever he does he will be suc- cessful. Football 4 Arne Pavo Parnanen Endurance is the crowning quality. And patience all the passion of great hearts. Pavo is known to us as an earnest student. He didn't indulge in school .sports, but was often seen enjoy- ing himself on the skating rink with his friends. Helen Marjorie Rafuse Her voice is like the evening thrush. Helen likes to sing and we enjo i hearing her, although we must say that she didn't give us very many opportunities. Hairdressing is fas- cinating to her and she intends to make it her occupation. Glee Club 3 Katharine Chalmers A sueeter maiden one can not find. The above quotation is perfectly true of Kat. Her lovability made her one of the most popular girls in the class and her fine qualities endeared her still more. Kat is prominent in sports and dramatics, and is, moreover, a very good stu- dent. Hockey, Basketball 2 Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4 Junior-Senior Reception Com- mittee 3 Thanksgiving Dance Committee, Marshal 4 Harold Franklyn Jacobson Oh. it is excellent to have a giant's strength. Harold is one of the tallest boys in our class and one of the most cheerful. One can always draw a good laugh from Harold, be it in work or in play. His height is a great asset on the basketball court, on which he has always been a prominent figure. He is well known for his football prowess, also. Rachel Kenney She does little kindnesses, Which most leave undone, or despise. No rings on her fingers, no bells on her toes, she makes no commo- tion wherever she goes, but in her unassuming way she leaves a defi- nite and restful impression and makes few demands on her friends. Hockey, Basketball, Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4 12

Stanley John Matuszeuricz A youth was he of quiet ways. Stanley is a quiet lad who hasn't taken much interest in school activi- ties. Size has prevented him from competing with the more brawny fellows in athletics, but he is quite eminent as a caddy at the Oak Hill Country Club. Arvo Aho A jaithful man and honorable. Here is our bashful lad from Westminster. We are told by his friends that his good humor never ceases and that he is always ready for some fun. His sunny disposi- tion has gained him many friends. Angelo Michael lacoboni am master of my fate. Angelo is one of our outstanding pupils in the college course. He has a purpose in life which we trust he will accomplish.! Being a dimin- utive lad, it is impossible for him to participate in all sports. But that doesn't stop him from being one of our tennis stars. Tennis 2, ?i Junior-Senior Relay Team, Debat- ing Club 3, 4 Chairman, Class Motto Committee Boulder Business Manager Round Table Marshal, Open Meeting 4 Veikko Walter Jakola Virtue and genuine graces in themselves Speak what no words can utter. Veikko is a rather quiet boy, but one who is always able to laugh at a good joke. Upholding a family tradition, Veikko is a very capable basketball player and besides this, he excels in baseball and hockey. Baseball 3 Etta May Steeves A worker, a friend, and a student. Etta is one of our girls who has a smile for everyone. She is the best pal of all her friends and is prom- inent in social affairs. Some day soon Etta will be called Nursie, as she has successfully passed her entrance examination at the Burbank. Hockey, Dramatic Club, Debating Club 2 Basketball 2, 3 Volleyball 3 Class Dues Committee 4 Mary Eldora Kendall A merry heart goes all the day. X'hen you really get to know Mazie, you'll find she has a keen sense of humor, for her remarks have often kept us from falling asleep in Math class. Mary is also a good student and seems to enjoy writing English compositions. She intends to study further at Becker College in Worcester. Hockey, Baskeball, Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4 Rhoda Miller Her stature tall — her manner dignified. A good listener is a best seller — that is one of the many reasons for Rhodas popularity with both sexes. On the dance floor, Rhoda's mastery of the intricacies of that art can be immediately recognized. French Club 2 Volleyball 2. 3 Hockey, Basketball, Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4 Alice Gertrude Tousignant Never thought, or dream, or faltering Marred the promise of her youth. Although quiet, Alice is lots of fun and is on hand when there's any excitement. She has a long way to come to school, but manages to be prompt and regular in her at - tendance. She is a good student and a friend to all. 14
