Veikko Carlo Freeman All his perfections were so rare The wit of man could not declare Which single virtue or which grace Above the rest had any place. Veikko is a popular boy about school and possesses a charming per- sonality that is very winning. He finds time, however, to take part in school activities and sports. Basketball 2, 3 Junior Dance Committee 3 Junior-Senior Reception Committee 3 Class Treasurer 3 Relay Team 3 Councillor 3, 4 Roger Eugene Frechette Slow spoken, as befits a wise man. Baseball is only one of the activi- ties in which Roger participated while at high school. He has had a bit of bad luck with his studies, but he makes the grade all right. He is rather quiet in school, but quite different outside. Track 2 Baseball 2, 3, 4 Asst. Manager Football 3 Glee Club 3, 4 Jouko Savolainen A man not limited in abilities. One of our most talented boys is Jouko, as is proved by his varied field of abilities. He is an artist of some note, a mathematical genius, and a wizard in the intricate princi- ples of chemistry. He has also man- aged to master German in the few hours of his spare time. Stanley Paul Collette A favorite with the fair sex. Paul, the red-haired dynamo of our class, certainly seems to possess that certain something which brings many girls within beckoning call. Perhaps the reason is that he is so happy-go-lucky. Relay Team 3 Football Manager 4 Ellen Vellamo Pelto Laughing eyes, a merry smile, And a merry, merry heart. Ellen, an amiable and well-liked person, took part in many school sports and was a member of the Senior School Champs hockey team. She plans to take up hairdressing as her vocation. Volleyball, Basketball, Hockey, 2, 3, 4 Adele Husari A good hater. Journalism is the star that gleams ahead of Adele, and her cleverness will carry her far towards this goal. Cast your spell over the editors, Adele, and you're bound to succeed. Her originality frees her from many tight places and her unusual men- tality is ever a source of interest and speculation. Hockey, Volleyball 2 Basketball 2, 4 Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4 Red and Gray Board 3, 4 Debating Club 4 Round Table Edith Lovell Shields And eier as she went some merry lay she sung. Her cheerful smile and witty ban- ter brightened many of our gloomy days. She has made no plans for the future, but when she lands, we can be sure it will be with a grin and on both feet. Dramatic Club 2, 3, 4 Marshal Helen Louise McAuliff Gdze into her eyes — and you see a little angel — Gaze a little longer and you see a little imp. Helen is a little miss who looks like an angel, but from time to time we find out differently. She enjoys physical training, especially when Miss Gibbons is there. We notice that Helen likes to referee at basket- ball games. Councillor 2 Dramatic Club 2, 4 Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball, Referee, Debating Club 2, 3, 4 Debating Club Dance Committee 3 French Club 4 Senior Ticket Committee Open Meeting of Debating Club 9

Adrien Francis Boudreau Un petit homme. Adrien, as we all know, is quite a minute person in size, but not in activities. From what we h ear, he is prominent at the St. Joseph A. C. in Cleghorn, even though he is some- what reserved in school. Alice Sigrid Erickson b) aren't they all contented like me? Alice is one of our girls who have a smile for ever)'one. Her sense of humor IS excellent. Al knows all the popular songs and we often hear her humming them around school. Although she has never liked school, she has given her full support to it. She has hopes of becoming a tele- phone operator. Basketball 2, 4; Hockey 2, 3 Dramatic Club 4 Arthur Harold Maggs He smiles from dawn to dusk. Mugg's smile is one of those very contagious afflictions which would brighten up even the face of a fellow with indefinites. As a helper at the lunch counter, Arthur could sell a half-filled ice cream cone plus his smile and more than satisfy the victim. Hildegard Clara Innerasky Full of pep, full of fun, A laugh and a smile for everyone. X'ho could ask for a more cheer- ful person than Hildegard ? Her very eyes are brimming over with mirth. She has many clothes which she wears very becomingly. Mr. Howard's room is brightened with her presence every other week. Alexander Campbell MacLean One who could be trusted to do the right thing at the right lime. Alexander, or Mac as he is usually called, is a rather quiet person in school. Perhaps because his heart is in the Highlands. Outside of school, he is an expert fisherman and hunter. His favorite subject is German. Track 2, 3, 4 Glee Club 4 Ellen Irene Karvonen A maiden, modest and self- possessed. This unassuming little girl goes on her way so quietly that we won- der what her greatest interests really are, aside from her studies. She's another of the high honor pupils from Westminster. Henry George Tousignant His thoughts look through his words. A likeable young fellow is Tougie. His interests vary, skating being his chief hobby in winter. He lives 'way up country, but manages to get to school, rain or shine. V Dora Demont Describe her who can. Doras hearty laugh is far-famed among her many friends. She is fond of sports and was always pre- sent at basketball and football games. Dora's chief occupation outside of school was taking care of children. Hockey 2, 3; Basketball 2, 3, 4 Dramatic Club 3 8

Warren Wilbur Marcy His friends and fortunes one could guess, By his fine habits and gentleness. Warren is the sort of fellow who mixes well with both sexes. He is very neat in appearance and his beaming expression more than makes up for his quiet demeanor. It will only be a matter of time before he will be showing his heels to many of us in the race for success. William Joseph Courtemanche As happy as the day is long, With hardly ever a lesson wrong. Courtemanche is a man of few words. He is one of our outstanding pupils in the college course, since he has attained a high scholastic record. To our knowledge, he doesn't indulge in sport and seems to be contented with a quiet and mild life. Marshal Rodney Lawrence Erickson A goodly share of laughter in his eye. Bud can always be identified in a crowd by his broad smile and his jolly face. He is not exactly apathe- tic to the opposite sex, although he seems so in school. In winter sports he shines, especially on the skating rink where he has yet to meet his match. Councillor 2 Frederick Thomas Poultney My designs and labor, and my aspirations. Are my friends. Freddie, who hails from West Fitchburg, has always been known to be quiet in and around the schools surroundings. Although this handsome young man is very shy, he has maay friends. Mechani- cal drawing seems to be Freddie's aim. Glee Club 4 ill Eleanor May Parkhurst Hou far that candle throws its beams. Besides possessing an excellent sense of humor, Eleanor is also very candid. Because of these character- istics, she is the life of a certain class. Her determined spirit will without a doubt fulfill her plans for the future. Dramatic Club 2 Glee Club, Holy City, Pop Concert 3 Elna Marian Perko A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance. Elna has a great many friends be- cause of her unfailing good nature. She has done well in all the school sports in which she has taken part. She fu rnished jokes for the Boulder as a member of the joke committee. Basketball, Volleyball 2 Hockey 2, 3 Boulder Joke Committee Rose Flaum Kind and quiet, ahvays neat. Rose has a tendency for the soli- tary life which is seldom broken ex- cept by her close friends. Never- theless, we have perceived that she has many winning qualities. She likes all sports and is a very good volleyball player. Basketball 2 Hockey 2, 3; Volleyball 3 Helvi Irene Wesa Bright as the sun her eyes were, And like the sun, they shone on all alike. Helvi, friend and helper to all, is an inhabitant of the South Side. Her many friends are proof of her amiability and thoughtfulness. One of Helvi's characteristics is to see a job to the finish, which certainly points to a successful life. Basketball 2; Dramatic Club 3 10
