John T. Monahan Superintendent of Schools You have survived all of the trials and tribulations which f with growing up. Now you poise on the threshold of the re of your lives. We all believe you are ready to go forth and do daily batt with all that is still to come. Parents, teachers, administrators, and friends have all helpe to shape what you are and what you will become; but, tf greatest shaper is you! Whatever you may do ultimately is yours to determine an yours to accomplish. We believe you are capable of both. Th, is the true basic reason for schools; to provide yoi background for adulthood. We are filled with pride for you and with you as you finis phase one. Phase two lies just ahead. Congratulations, and the best c life's rewards to you! John T. Monahan Superintendent of Schools March 6, 1981 The Class of 1981 will always be very special to me. It seems like such a short time ago that you were sophomores and I was the new Principal at Fitch. Many wonderful things have happened in the interim. We have jested about my insistence that Fitch is number one, but we know it is true. It is true not only because of outstand- ing accomplishments of individuals and groups, but also because of all the little things that make our school a special place to be. As I think back, there are many special memories of people and events. Now the time has come for you to leave Fitch. You will not be here, but you will not be forgotten.
