Herman Carler Albert Sewell runs lst Ohio Marathon -9th Olympic Trials Alberl Sewell Carter ties existing world's record Herman Carter tied the existing world's record at the Houston Astrodome during the National Federation Re- lays. He ran an impressive 9.5 in the 100 yd. dash. The human Speedster ran 2nd in the 60 yd. dasheonly two tenth of a second offthe world's record. ,L 7 .. Q .. X -. Herman C arler and Albert Sewell Albert Sewell poses a threat to the greatest of the distance runners. Sewell is the defending two mile champion of the S.I.A.C. He placed third in the one mile and two mile race in the T.I.A.C. He placed third in the three mile of the T.I.A.C. Sewellls most impressive records have been set at the Ohio Marathon where he ran first and the Olympic Trials where he placed ninth.
