H omecommg Parade Homecommg act1v1t1es th1s year were expanded 16 sultmg ln a blgger and better week than ever before It certalnly was one of the hlghhghts of the school year November 5 the mght before our Homecomlng game and dance found pract1cally the whole town of Flsher Watchmg the parade up Maln Street The Flsher Hlgh School Band led the parade followed by our team r1d1ng the f1re tluck After th1s came SIX floats decorated by varlous clubs boostxng the game as well as then' queen candldates The parade contmued out to the Fisher grld 1ron where a huge bonflre pep rally and snake dance C11 maxed the evenmg The Spanlsh Club won f1rst prlze for thexr gally dec orated float representlng a Spanlsh f1esta The float car rled Kay Jones Spanlsh Club candldate along wlth her court of honor all of whom were dressed ln authentlc Spanlsh costumes The float was pulled by two mules wlth the slogan belng Our team will be as stubborn as a mule Hooray' And then we ll celebrate our vlctory wlth Kay Second prlze went to the FFA who had the1r can dldate Marlene Delaney on a float Wlth a power lawn mower Thelr slogan was We ll mow Homer r1ght down Glrls Chorus walked off wlth thlrd prlze w1th the slogan Well smk Homer and sa1l r1ght thru Then' float was made 1n the form of a shlp carrylng thelr can d1date Katy Furtney All of the clubs d1d outstandlng Jobs 1n worklng up then ldeas 1nto successful floats Wlth such enthuslasm aroused how could we mlss becommg I1l1n1 Valley Champsll NS-Alba fx I . . . . . 4 . . . . . . .
