This is my new notebook. 20 SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS I am pleased that the yearbook gives me the chance to leave a few words for my friends, the class of 1987. My hope for all is to be success- ful. We must put faith in ourselves as individuals before all else. If we are to be remembered both as individuals and as a class, if we are to achieve ultimate success, it will be because we have shown love in all our works. We do not enter this great world to con- quer it, but to heal it — not to over- come, but to help. Although I am unable to see into the future, I am fully confident that a class with as much enthusiasm, innovation, and sheer greatness as ours will never be forgotten at Fisher Junior College. I commend each of you for contributing to that. All this and more we have rep- resented as the Fisher Junior College Class of 1987. Now it is our time to go on, to be successful. For the world we live in is incomplete and always chang- ing. As we have changed our commu- nity and as we have changed ourselves, so can we change the world. Best of luck to each of you. Kristen A. With the college years filled with term papers and research assignments, Krista's assistance has been immeasurable. She is always lending a help- ing hand and does her best to provide support. As Assistant Librarian, Krista not only helps the students, but the entire Fisher family. Oliver Wendell Holmes once said that Every library should be complete on something, if it were only the history of pinheads. Our library is complete with the intelligence, patience, and guidance of Krista McLeod. Thank you, Krista. The knowledge you have helped us acquire will last forever. Although much assistance has been received from numerous people, special thanks go to some particular supporters. Thanks to-, the bookstore staff for making their facilities, especially the copier, available to US', the Fisher library staff for their research assistance-, Jack Bresciani, Roberta Cantor, and Michele Mellace for their helpfulness in providing pictures; Irene Checkovich and Kelly Wemmers for all student information needed-, Cynthia Collins and Susan Petrilli for their non-stop support; Ms. Edinger, Dr. Harmer, Mrs. Shore, Ms. Tirrell, and Mrs. Varisco for letting the yearbook staff invade their office space on many occasions, additionally Mr. Brettschneider who also let us invade his supply of junk food; and Mrs. Pi this for patiently waiting to commute home when we worked ''overtime. Our highest thanks go to those who worked most closely with the yearbook. They include John Carrier and Cathy Badour from Herff Jones Yearbook, and the entire year- book staff, with extra appreciation to Nancy Wathen who managed to attend every yearbook meeting. We express our most sincere thanks to Dr. Walton. As the yearbook advisor, he gave us his time, patience, cooperation, commitment, and friendship. This book would not have been completed, or even started, without Dr. Walton's enthusiasm and intelligence. He told us great jokes as well as proper grammar rules! He provided us with fresh insights and gave us the confidence to make our ideas work. We truly appreciate everything he has done for us. We hope that the combined works of all the yearbook ''helpers has created a book you will cherish and enjoy for many years. We tried our best to include every senior's picture within these pages, and wish that you are pleased with this collection of memories. Live as if you were to die tomorrow. — Isidore of Seville Woman was created from the rib of man, not from his head to be above him not his feet to be walked upon, but from his side to be equal, near his arm to be protected and close to his heart to be loved. %, Colleges are places where pebbles are polished and diamonds are dimmed. — Dale S. If you are asked what o'clock it is, tell it; but do not proclaim it hourly and unasked, like the watchman. Lord Chesterfield 104
