DEDICATION Many thoughts are passing through our minds as ive end our classroom days as Fisher girls. As alum- nae, we will he thankful for memories, loves, friend- ships, and careers which we might never have real- ized had it not been for Fisher. Our thoughts are forward-looking, but our hearts are remembering many events with one main ques- tion — What if . . . ? What would we be doing if we had not come here for our education ... if our families had not had the pride, the interest, the love, the determination for the best for us as their main goals? For their help, their guidance, their under- standing in our shortcomings, their pride in our achievements, their exemplary ideals, we have grati- tude beyond mere words. There have often been times when we should have said thank you but have not; and, as we become college graduates and finally realize how much we owe to you, we can find no better way to express our appreciation and deepest gratitude than to dedicate this, THE BEACON — 1961, to you, Mother and Dad.

resident ' s Message How wonderful to think that just two years ago you entered Fisher without knowing either students or staff members; and yet, as you now complete this formal phase of your education, you have added another dimension to your life — not only through new experiences, but also through a rich association with so many new friendships which will remain with you for life. These experiences have truly carried you from the unknown to the known. Now, as you take your next step into the work-a-day world, where more than ever you are going to be on your own, we have high hopes for you, your growth, and your success. Your progress, you can be sure, will be followed by each member of the College staff, through the Personnel Department as well as through the alumnae bulletin.
