McDADE: A gremlin to stick pins into the forgetful students who leave dirty dishes and bottles anywhere but in their ap- pointed places. To MR. and MRS. MACK AY: A robot to relieve them of many duties so they can relax and enjoy the springtime of their life. THIRD: To the faculty: To MISS CAMERA: An all-expense- paid honeymoon trip to Niagara Falls. To MISS TAYLOR: A carton of Red Cap Refresh-R to dispel the odor of winter- green, and a tall stepladder so she can give up her tightrope walking and balancing act in the library. To MISS PAPPAS: A top position on the list of the ten best-dressed women in the United States. To MRS. WHITING: A bigger and better infirmary in which to conduct her machine classes. To MRS. SMALL: For her two-to- three classes in Room 44, a roomy armchair with a built-in periscope for seeing the board without having to move. To MRS. BARNES: A handsome new Hopalong Cassidy suit for riding the range in style. To MRS. SANFORD: A large check from Simon and Schuster with a letter ac- cepting her current literary effort. To MRS. FRITZ: A block of shares in the Greyhound Company so that she can always have a bus at her disposal for field trips. To MRS. MONTAGUE: We leave a device for feeding her medical class intra- venously so that it will not be necessary to interrupt any lab or lecture periods to en- able the girls to eat normally. To MRS. CURRAN: A large economy - sized package of Vigoro which we are cer- tain she will know what to do with. To MRS. HURLEY: Knowing how well she is fitted for the position, we leave an appointment as Baseball Commissioner. To MRS. CORNELL: An unlimited supply of willing volunteers to assist her at school teas. To MRS. KENNEDY: A class that loves speed building and doesn ' t groan; that will not be guilty of poor proportion ; and that will appreciate her four-year-old do- mestic problem. FOURTH: To the ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT: We leave the services of a private de- tective to investigate What Mann doing? To the TYPEWRITING DEPART- MENT: A whole class of typists like Amy Lou. To the TRANSCRIPTION DEPART- MENT: A brand of holeproof paper on which next year ' s classes can erase with- out possibility of detection — and which has been processed for fingerprint and wrinkle resistance. FIFTH: To SARAH MORTIMER HALL: We leave private telephones for each room, for less hurried and more pri- vate conversations, and a front-door key for those who fail to make the 12:30 curfew. To FLORENCE HALL: A copy of the latest best seller, SHORTCUTS IN LIV- ING, or, how to arise at 9 and still make that 9:05 class. SIXTH: To the INCOMING STU- DENTS: We leave our advice to remember always that, while at Fisher , Plan your life accordingly. To the JUNIOR CLASS: In transi- tory trust, we bequeath to our successors all that we are leaving behind us — our school work and fun, all our fears and hopes, our trials and triumphs, to be held by them for the period of one year and then passed on. To the FISHER SCHOOL: We leave our condolences for the blow it must feel in losing 155 women of our calibre. And finally, we leave our sincere gratitude for the guidance and inspiration given us in the past two years; and we hope that we may prove we can pay dividends equal to the investment of patience, toil, and under- standing which was spent in our behalf.
