MEL CARTER Principal O R FOUNDER We were prepared for God to bless us in some measure when we asked Him to make it possible that we have a Christian Academy in our Church, but the supreme and superlative remembrance of God upon our efforts in actually building the great school has exceeded our most earnest prayers and our most zealous anticipations. Dr. Mel Carter with his teachers and trustees and the parents of our young- sters have brought to realization a beautiful dream and a glorious ministry . Your greatest work lies before you. You will grow in every area of academic life. Increasing numbers of students will seek you out, and a vast army of fathers and mothers will be praising God for all you do to help their children grow in grace and knowl- edge of the Lord. ' OUR PRI CIPAL This year marks a significant milestone in our his- tory. We have our first senior class, our first com- mencement program, our first class ring and our first year of accreditation. God has been so good in his leadership to this historic moment and we are grate- ful to him for His guidance, His support and strength, and His working in the lives of our students and their families . My message to the Senior Class as they face col- lege and adult responsibilities is summarized in Matthew 6:33, Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things shall be added unto you. This is the summum bonum of life, the highest goal achievable, the greatest vic- tory attainable, and guarantee the ultimate in suc- cess in whatever you set your hand to do. Should you follow the admonition of this verse you will miss nothing, you will have included everything, and you will have fulfilled completely God's plan for your life.

ASSISTAN PRI CIPAL Sanctify them through the truth: thy word is truth. John 17:17. I have seen the Academy become a battle ground in which the sacred and the secular have met. The battle has been fought and the adversary of secularism has been over- taken by the truth revealed in God's Word and has been vic- torious.
