Through the eFforts of Coach Nelson Howe and Coach James Kollmian new cinder track was completed this past summer. lt is considered one of' the best quarter mile tracks in Lorain County and Firelands played hosts on three occasions. Coach Howe was very pleased with the results and at no time did the Firelands' track squad finish last. Many of the records oi previous year were broken and each man was awarded a meda breaking a school record. Ones to break records were A. Born in R. Roskoski lbroad iump and 44Ol, L. Bettcher ldiscusl, B. Freas and low hurdlesl R. Johnson lpole vaultl, and E. Hartle ihigh hui and high iumpl. At the Lorain County Meet the Falcons came in fourth out field of eight schools.
