Drizzling weather failed to dampen spirits on the night of Friday, October 8, as a large crowd thronged to Donnell Memorial Stadium for the crowning of the 1965 Home- coming Queen, Betty Grohoske. The royal court, composed of Misses Julie Bish, Judy Dove, Sally Hart, and Linda Kandel, accompanied by their fathers, preceded Miss Grohoske to the coronation plat- form, each to the roll of drums. Piercing the brisk night air, a trumpet fanfare blazed in Bettyls honor as she ma- jestically approached her throne. Crownbearer Steven Grohoske, brother of the Queen, delivered the royal green velvet crown to Student Council President Terry Corbin, who then solemnly crowned Betty Queen7' of the weekend's festivities. The climax of memorable Homecoming 1965 was the Trojans' victory over Elyria andithe beautiful, traditional semi-formal dance, reigned over by Queen Betty and her court.
