Mr. Lcxrkins Mr. Heninger SPECIAL ASSIGNMENTS Among the courses of study being added to senior high school curriculums all over the country, Driver Training has proved to be one of the most in demand as well as being the most needed. This department serves adults as well as stu- dents. Findlay teenagers enrolled in the driver education course are taught one of the greatest necessities of modern society - the need for skill, courtesy, and judgment behind the wheel. Youthful but fast-growing, this department makes it possible for each future citizen to learn the rudiments of traffic engi- neering, car mechanics, and actual driving habits. From the standpoint of public safety, these classes perform an indis- pensable service in any mod- ern high school curriculum. MUSIC DEPARTMENT The energy from the sun is almost forgotten when compared to the pep and vigor of our high-stepping band members or the FHS harmonizing vocaleers. But a lot of the sun's energy is nec- essary to carry us through the many activities and productions of this department. Marching band performances, winter con- certs, summer festivals, Broadway shows, community programs -these and many others are very ably managed and present- ed by our music instructors. Students enrolled in this depart- ment have the opportunity of individual instruction as Well as group study, whether their inter- ests be vocal or instrumental.
