This idea makes us realize that, with electronics, rapid trans- portation, and increased travel, communication among peoples has become world-wide. The FHS language de- partment is keeping pace with this new world of progress. Whether it's Latin for scientific study, or French and Span- ish for future experience, students have the opportunity to prepare themselves under capable instructors. MUSIC DEPARTMENT The energy from the sun is almost forgotten when compared to the pep and vigor of our high-stepping band members or the FHS harmonizing vocaleers. But a lot of the sun's energy is nec- essary to carry us through the many activities and productions of this department. Marching band performances, winter con- certs, summer festivals, Broadway shows, community programs -these and many others are very ably managed and present- ed by our music instructors. Students enrolled in this depart- ment have the opportunity of individual instruction as Well as group study, whether their inter- ests be vocal or instrumental.
