ADMINISTRATION When Dr. Robert A. Van Auken became eleventh superintendent of Findlay Public Schools last summer, his admiration tor the present system was such that he declared whatever he might be able to do in the way of betterment would only be adding cream to the cot- fee. In the course ot his first year in his new position, Dr. Van Auken has initiated many improvements and gained the respect and admiration ot every educator, student, and citizen in the community. That students ot FHS conduct themselves in a man- ner that would be expected of ladies and gentlemen is the perennial desire and one of the iavorite philosophies ot our amiable principal, A. L. Mattoon. With an A. B. degree from Otterbein College and an M. A. degree from Ghio State University, Mr. Mattoon has been con- nected with Findlay High tor 26 years and has been head schoolman for tour years.
