A., has as its objec- tive, to help interested students learn more about the teaching profession. Each member of the organization is given the opportunity of practice teaching in the class he desires. When teachers are called away in an emergency, members of the F. T. A. are called upon to take over. The Math Club is prob- ably one oi the most suc- cessful clubs in Findlay High School. This may be an unusual statement, yet it is true, because the mem- bers attend meetings only when they are interested in the subject, which has been announced previous- ly. The Math Club, Whose intention it is to study mathematical devices and machines, has its meetings either during school or at night, depending on the topic. LIBRARY ASSISTANTS Library assistants perform the valuable tasks of checking out books, tiling returned books, checking attendance and in general helping the other stu- dents who are in the library. These assistants from the Li- brary Science class plus a iew volunteers give their regular study halls over to helping in the library. 1 To increase their knowledge of science, by studying the achievements of scientists, by experimenting and constructing scientific exhibits and models.
