The Board of Education Far too many of us never really appreciate the work of the Board of Education. lf everything goes along smoothly. we completely forget that it is the work of the board that has made a certain plan successful, and congratulate the officials with whom we have daily contact. But, when plans prove unsuca cessful, when troubles. financial or otherwise, beset the school system. we immediately realize the importance to a school sys- tem of its Board of Education. Findlay has, indeed, been fortunate in having on its school board men who have labored tirelessly to improve the system. During the past few years the task of keeping the schools on a running basis has been a most formidable one. But despite setbacks of all kinds the board has proved that it is truly a fine group. ln many towns the size of Findlay, or even in larger cities, the schools have been forced to close entirely, or have been forced to cut out many truly beneficial subjects in the cur- riculum. But in our city no subject has been dropped, no changes have been made, and except for an unfortunate varia- tion last year, school has continued as before. Surely the stu- dents who have graduated from Findlay I-ligh, those who will graduate in coming years, and the citizens of our town realize and appreciate the splendid efforts of our board. We cannot know what lies ahead in the Held of education. We cannot know whether fortune will smile or frown upon the Findlay school system. But we feel sure that. come what may, the board of Education will help to keep Findlay High in the place it has held for years, a truly splendid school.

Seniors , -Q. We of the Class of 1934- can now look back over our three years at Findlay Senior High School and realize that those days of drudgery were lilled with happiness and good times. We entered Old F. H. S. with one aim-to uphold the high standing of the alumni of former years. We worked hard to help gain honors for the school in the State Scholarship Tests and were somewhat successful in the attempt. Under the supervision of Miss Shilling and Mr. Alexander as Junior Class advisors, and under the direction of Mr. Humphrey, We, as juniors, successfully presented the play Mignonette. Al- though our second year in high school Was shortened by two months, We managed the important annual social events, the Jun- ior-Senior prom, which with all its gay beauty and splendor proved a huge success. Miss Wiseley and Mr. Hutson, sponsors, and Emerson Shuck, president of our group, led us through our linal and most eventful year at P. H. S. The climax of this career was the production of Green Stockings, a comedy directed by Miss West. We are deeply regretful in having to leave Findlay High but hope to bring her honor and fame in the future by our success in college and the business World.
