Now, I'll tell you about the Morris brothers Arthur is president of the Nickel Plate Railroad He really has done quite well He and his wife, the former Sandra Fleming, own a beautiful home back in Cleveland, Ohio No doubt you heard that Fred received the Congresslonal Medal of Honor for saving his buddy's life while he was in the army He is now married to Mary Ann Epley They own and operate the dog kennels at Ramsey Fred specializes in coon dog and other hunting breeds My letter seems to be getting the length of a newspaper, but I want to tell you of the other members of the class Eula Casey is a stewardess for American Air Lines She ls making plans though for a June wedding to a pilot You wonder who it could be? Yes, it is the Junior boy who was interested flying Hal Lovelace is still a basketball star He is playing with the Min neapolls Lakers now He says he thinks he'll settle down and do some coaching are engaged Virginia Finley is in New York at the present time I heard that she is modeling fur coats She plans to return to Illinois in June as she is engaged to the young man who drove the red convertible when she was a senior This brings to a close the whereabouts and the doings of the class of '53 I hope you have enjoyed hearing about them as much as Shirley and I enjoyed our visit Your former pupil, Erma Alexander FAREWELL who are we to be talking? Well, friends, we'd like you to know we are the nineteen fifty three Seniors And believe us we're raring to go Into th6 shoes of our adults And 1t's a sure thing we're going to try To have feet big enough to fill those shoes when we have hidden F C H S good byel We well know the load we must carry And the burden of which we partake, we'1l all take our share of the troubles And carry on just for your sake Now we're proud as 'neckn that we're Seniors For we've traveled a long, long way As Freshmen, as Sophomores, as Juniors To stand where we stand today Ohl As proud as we are to be Seniors And of the pedestal on which we stand, We are glad to step a step higher And make room for that Junior clan. Yes, we've enjoyed our stay here immensely But we feel we have rounded the hill, And we Seniors are leaving a vacancy That none other like us can fill And we're leaving with hearts full of gladness And not one showing signs of a tear For we are going to be adults when we leave F C H S this year ' 3 ' . A g ' 15 before long. Perhaps settle down is right as I understand he and Carolyn Grigg
