He owns a big ranch in Texas, also five thousand head of horses Guess he still rides horseback and wear cowboy boots There is a ru or that he does most of his banking business at Vandalia Three of the class of '53 live in or near Nokomis Joyce and her husband, They haven't any children as Joyce is too busy running the store Rosemary L Casey and her husband live on a big farm near Coalton They have one child, a tle boy named Carter Roy, who wants to grow up to be a 'milk truck driver Darrell Neisler, a wealthy bachelor, also lives in Nokomis He owns several lime trucks and milk routes A nice catch for some young girl! The Wright sisters are not far away from home now Gladys, a regis tered nurse, has returned home from California and is now doing night duty at the Hillsboro Hospital She probably won't be working there long as she is en gaged to Don Bolte of Nokomis You remember how little Dolores talked? She is a radio announcer at WSMI in Litchfield She has just returned to Illinois from New York where she did similar work Think she, too, is making plans to marry I 0Gn't spell the last name of the fellow she is to marry His first name is Allan You'll remember him when you were teaching in Fillmore He is still in the Air Force While Shirley was in St Louis, she phoned two of her friends Shirley Moroney and Virginia Vest Griffin Shirley Moroney is a stenographer at the Western Cartridge Company in Alton She is engaged to the president's son Virginia and Jack live in Kansas City, Missouri Jack is an army officer now The Griffin twins, Jackie Dean and Jimmie Gene, are now in school They say they are going to spend the summer on their grandfathers' farms . .Jw . s . Yes, we've enjoyed our stay here immensely But we feel we have rounded the hill, And we Seniors are leaving a vacancy That none other like us can fill And we're leaving with hearts full of gladness And not one showing signs of a tear For we are going to be adults when we leave F C H S this year ' 3 ' . At the basketball games we ran a stand and sold soda pop, candy and hotdogs. With a few arguments and misunderstandings we finally came out ahead. Our play 'THE CLOCK STRIKES TWELVE' was given on March 27. We entertained in honor of the Seniors with a banquet at the Lutheran Church basement. We will tell you more about it if or when we publish a yearbook. That will be when we are Seniors. -by Sandra Fleming and Bill Ivy f- I F - ,J 'r .
