Dedication Mr. Richard Kennedy has also played an active part in making Fillmore the school that it is. He received his college and university education in West Virginia, and has also done some studying at St. Bonaventure and Buffalo State. He has earned an AB in Education and has a Master s degree in Music. During the 25 years that he has spent at Fillmore, he has done much to inspire and encourage his students in developing their musical abilities. He has taught vocal music and directed the Senior Choir, Orchestra. Handbells, Madrigal Singers, Junior Choir, and Girls’ Choir. He has conducted Elementary Chorus, Elementary Orchestra, and First Year Band as well as serving as Chairman of the Music Department and preparing students for many musical ac- tivities. Through it all, he has shown true dedication and love for his students. His valuable contributions to Fillmore will be greatly missed as he retires this year. It is with pride that we name Mr. Kennedy as the other co-recipient of the 1986 CREST dedication. 3

Dedication Mrs. Ruth Bennett is someone who set many of us off to a good start at Fillmore. She herself is a native of this area, having attended Fillmore High School and Houghton College and eventually graduating from Fredonia with a Bachelor's degree. After she had com- pleted several years of employment elsewhere, we were fortunate enough to get her as a teacher at Fillmore, where she has remained for 26 years. During those years she has been active in school life, serving as the SPACE advisor for four years, advising the Sports Booster Club in the '60’s, and helping to manage many elementary programs, including Kinderfair. This teacher definitely enjoys her job, and is noted for her enthusiasm and creativity. Those of us who were in her class will always remember her constant support and her real interest in her small pupils. Her retirement this year will leave a gap that will be hard to fill. The CREST is pleas- ed to name Mrs. Bennett as a co-recipient of the 1986 yearbook dedication. 2
