Exchange Students Fillmore was very fortunate to have two ex- change students this year. Jorg Burger (top pic. right) came to us from West Germany. His stay in the United States was sponsored by the Institute for Cultural Exchange. While at Fillmore he played on the J.V. Soccer team, BB team and Boys Tennis team. Jorg has en- joyed living with his host families and doing things that he had never done before (like eating corn and peanut butter and riding a snowmobile). Jean Javaux (top pic., left) came to Fillmore from Belgium and was sponsored by the Rotary Club. He, too, played on the Tennis team and was also an All-Star for his great performance on the Varsity Soccer team. His travels in the U.S. were most memorable, and he especially enjoyed the people here. We will greatly miss Jean and Jorg and want to wish them the best as they return to their countries. 16
