THE 1968-69 YEARBOOK STAFF PRESENTS THE 1969 CREST Fillmore Central Fillmore, New York 2 All right, girls-line up!” The voice is that of a small, quiet wom- an with a whistle 'round her neck. A woman who has suffered our defeats, rejoiced in our victories; a woman who has helped us to develop co-ordination, tolerated our nonsense, settled our squabbles. Most important, a woman who taught us to be good sports, not only in gym class, but in all aspects of life. Although she slips unobtrusively through the halls of FCS, she is very much a part of our life and will be greatly missed in the future. . For twenty-eight years of service and devotion to Fillmore Cen- tral School, this, the 1969 CREST, is lovingly dedicated to- Mrs. Una Graves TABLE OF CONTENTS 1. FACULTY AND ADMINISTRATION Mr. Swartout, Supervising Principal With this issue of the 1969 Crest, we extend our congratulations to the Senior Class. Bessie A. Stanley once wrote, “He has achieved suc- cess who has lived well, laughed often and loved much; who has gained the respect of intelligent men and the love of little children; who has filled his niche and accomplished his tasks, wheth- er by an improved poppy, a perfect poem or a res- cued soul; who has never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty or failed to express it; who has al- ways looked for the best in others and given the best he had; whose life was an inspiration and whose remembrance a benediction.” Also our congratulations to the 1969 Crest Staff for another very fine yearbook. It can also be a time of learning how to meet deadlines, schedule your time wisely, work efficiently. But it is also the place toac- cept the opinions and criticisms of others. So much was learned this year. . . My deepest appreciation goes to Mrs. Eltscher who spent many hours coach- ing, inspiring and to Mr. Krause who was patient and longsuffering with his camera. I must also thank my co-workers who were dedicated in their service.
