We are now ready to face the world and accept all challenges it can throw at us. From time to time in our busy lives we will pause and recall our high school memories. This book will help to preserve the memories that no one can take away from us as we sail down lifes golden stream. DEDICATION To most of us you have been an inspiration during our years at Fillmore Central School. It was you who initiated us, the Class of '62 to our many happy years in school, as you had the many hundred children before us, in your understanding and patient manner, during your thirty eight years at F.C.S. It is with the greatest respect, admiration and love that we didicate this, the 1962 Crest, to you, Mrs. Mable Crawford. IN MEMORIAM During 1961 Fillmore Central School lost two of its outstanding friends. In the spring Mrs. Leah Zeller, who had taught second grade for many years, passed away at Warsaw hospital, after a short illness. She had the admiration and love of everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her happy smile and deep under- standing endeared her to all of us. In July Mr. Lawarence Hank Miller met a tragic death while at work. Mr. Miller was president of the Board of Education and always very active and interested, both, in our receiving the best education and being the best young people possible. It is to the memory of these two people we pay our deepest respects. A TRIBUTE We would like to offer our congratulations to two prominent school men. Mr. Garwood retired this year after many years as Superintendent of schools in our area. Mr. Haynes was promoted to this position, after serving as principal of Fillmore Central School for the past twenty four years. To you Mr. Garwood we would like to say, Best wishes for a very happy retire- ment, and to you Mr. Haynes, May the future be as successful, in your new position, as the years were at Fillmore Central.
