The Crest Staff of 1952-1953 gives to you the students, teachers, and parents the 1953 Crest. We chose as our theme the United States Government. As all of you know a government can be as sound and stable as the way it is handled. Each department in our government must co-operate fully with the other departments to create a government that runs in harmony. The Crest Staff feels that Fillmore Central is very much like our strong U.S. Government. The Superintendent of Fillmore Central School represents the President of the United States who holds the government together. The faculty and administration represents the Cabinet, the advisors of the President. The Departmen of Public Health is closely associated with our school nurse, doctor and dental hygenist. This year we think of the FFA as the Department of Agriculture. The Department of Public Works is the Bus Drivers, Custodians, and Kitchen Helpers. The Supreme Court of the United States and its work is represented by our Student Council. The Seniors are the most powerful. They are the Senators, while the Juniors, a large body, but not so powerful is known as the House of Representatives. The Sophomores and Freshmen are the members of our State Government. The grades 1-8 are very important to the United States. They are the future voters of our country. The Sports section represent the American competitors to the World famous Olympic games. Back of all these scenes are the taxpayers and they represent the ads of this Crest of 1952-1953. Democracy is close to the hearts of the people and as the years go by we hope that this issue of the Crest will be as close to you. We hope it will bring back happy memories of days gone by that were spent in our own Alma Mater. Through the combined efforts of the staff and its advisors we say Here's to you The 1953 Crest. Enjoy it as much as we've enjoyed giving it to you. ADMINISTRATION GLASSES SPORTS ACTIVITIES GRADUATION ADVERTISEMENTS 2
