FOREWORD The Crest staff of 1951-52 introduces to you, the students of Fillmore, a new theme, The Eagles . Each and every one of us wants to be known as an Eagle and we are proud of it. Our yearbook is cen- tered around this idea and in years to come you'll think back and see what fun we had as Eagles. Through the combined efforts of the Crest staff and our advis- ors, we bring you this yearbook. Our yearbook is a record of school friendships. We hope you will find pleasure in looking at the yearbook today; and in the tomorrows to come may you find enjoyment in the memories which this issue of the Crest offers. DEDICATION We the Crest Staff of 1951-52 are proud and happy in making our dedication this year. During our years of school, we met on our way, a teacher who has helped us reach our goal as high school students. She has taught us all to be honest and upright citizens. Through her 41 years of teach- ing at F.C.S. she has guided many pupils and she has always treated them in the same kind, gentle manner. Of course at times, as in every teacher's life, there were moments when some discipline had to be ap- plied to the boy who pulled the pigtails of the little girl sitting in front of him, but such moments have only strengthened the respect held for her. All in all her teaching at F.C.S. has been highly successful. And so to you. Miss Josephine Butler, we dedicate Our Crest with our best wishes and the hope that you may have happiness and the satisfaction found in a job well done the rest of your life. THE CREST STAFF
