Fillmore Central School has one of the many chapters which make up the Na ional Honor Society It was origin ally introduced in Fillmoe May 12 1948 by lVIr Joseph Cole MISS Carolin Smith and Mr Lyle Hemmk faculty members of Fillmor It is now under the joint supervision and sponsorship of Mr Hemink and Mr Burt Swales Membership is one of the highest honors the school offers ualihcations for members are based on character scholarship leadership and service A Bark Ron Mr Swales Ronald Findlay De wyn Arnold Mr Hemink average of elghty five Ref Cent must be Front Row Mary Doud Francine Bailey Gloria Vincent Shirley Brahn- maintained or member C311 be dropped June Faecke Edythe Eldridge Bonnie Nevinger from the Society The members are primarily seniors with two Juniors who are chos n at the end of their sophomore year These are at first called probationary members and ar later taken in as full fledged members Other mem bers are added when they acquire such qualifica ions Members of the society in Fillmore are Bonnie Nevingei Presiden Mary Doud Vice Rr sident Fran cent and Ed the Eldrid e Meetin 5 are held the fir t Tuesday of exer month The activities of this rou Y g g Y g R include planning a trip to Radio Citv and Kodak Park Rochester The members of this society acted as guides to the pupils of other schools on Career Day Decemher Z 1949 at Fillmore CHGRUS New people in Chorus?
