Page Eighty-two I light the candle of scholarshipf, This is the key phrase in the induction service of the National llonor Society. Attaining membership in the National llonor Society-available only to juniors and seniors with at least a 3.5 average-is an admirable achievement. The Society, the only honor organization at Ralph L. Pike, serves to create enthusiasm for scholarship, to promote leadership, to stimulate a desire to render service, and to encourage the development of character among the students. Miss Clyde Hunter directs the Society's activities. Members serve as pages at College Night. Lighting candles signifies nremlnersliip in the National Honor Society to L. Alexander, D. Anderson, R. We have learned that there are hidden beauties and mean- ings in everything that we observe. We have discovered that piles of pictures and hundreds of written words miraculously become a book. These are our experiences-may you profit from them as we, the staff, have profited.
