The turnout this year shoulcl be good, although the team has lost six men through gracluation. Some of the veterans are: first base, Donnie hlattoxg shortstop, Carlton Barnesg outfielcl, .lerry Garter, Garlton Belantl, George Vlfainwright, Bobby Langley, Steve Sakas, lames Matthews, Howarcl Eclwarclsg catchers, Ken Boykin and George Massey. Some of the juniors coming up this year, such as Rogers, Elliot, ancl Shackleforcl are going to be great competition for some of the veterans. Last yearls reeorcl was very goocl, with ten wins ancl two losses. ilhey beat VVilmington for the first time in four years. The team went to the State AAAA Conference game but lost to East Mecklenburg 3-2. This year looks even better than last year anal with goocl team work, the boys coultl go all the way.
