The l5.'li.rX. club is macle up of juniors and seniors who wish to become teachers. The purpose of the club is to learn the requirements ancl opportunities of teachers. Programs and speakers show the importance of special training, character, personality, and methods of gootl teachers. Mrs. Ethel Crawley and Miss Doris ilihorne are the atlviscrs of the club. Ordering college catalogues, tlcco- rating a llomecoming float, assisting with College Day. boosting the teachers' morale. antl hai ing a spring banquet highlight the activities of the year. Every year at Christmas each teacher re- ceives some little token from the F.T.A. to bring cheer to them on the last clay before the holidays. SPANISH CLUB The Spanish Club is an organization whose main objectives are to advance in learning and to broaden in culture. The members strive to strengthen inter- national good will and gain more knowledge about the Latin American countries. The membership is made up of students who work toward bringing our southern neighbors closer to them and try to create a more friendly atmosphere. The membership of the Spanish club consists of sophomores, juniors, and seniors. A meeting is held twice a month during the school year and at Christf mas, a banquet is held, Everyone thoroughly enjoys singing Spanish songs and breaking the pinata, which contains various types of candies. As an extra means of raising funds, the members sold felt school pennants bearing the letters R.L.P. ILS. in blue and gold, the school colors. The Spanish Club is advised by Mrs. Kathleen Patterson and lklrs. lkliriam Dunn, a new teacher this year.
