Five ,-,'g1,gyw-tigvgawf: Foreword The graduation class of 1953 is proud to give to its class- mates, teachers, and friends the Yearbook for 1953. On the following pages we would like to show and to give our appreciations to those who have contributed much to our educations and to those who made it possible for this Year- book to be published. Had it not been for either of them, we would not be able to present this book to you. We would like to give our special thanks to Mr. Stanley Schaeffer for directing the printing of the Yearbook, to Miss Katherine R. Donaldson for directing the art work, to Mr. Iohn P. Kennedy for his sponsorship, and to Miss Muriel A. Hillard, Director of Activities, for her many and varied ac- tivities related to our graduation. The theme, Life at Fifth, concerns the pleasures and real enjoyments which we have had here at Fifth as well as the great goal of graduation which we have now achieved after many years of learning.
