A big smilef The flowers that bloom in the spring, Ira, la, have nothing to do with this thing. lt's the flowers that bloomed on Miss 'l'o1nasone's lapel one Thursday evening in February. After two weeks of striving to make us under- stand at least the most obvious of the subtle implica- tions in Peer Gynt, and after two weeks of teaching jean-and-sweater bedecked females to appear Hseduc- tive, and likewise-clad males to feel like gentlemen of sixty. anyone deserves flowers. Tommie's first trial and tribulation Came with the hand-picked festiyal committee. Finally, the committee sat down and unani- mously elected one lass to play the sister of lngrid. the bride. It was several minutes before one exception- ally bright member of the group realized that this part was missing in the play. But through it all we Came out with a festival. And when the big night came and we were all cold and nervous with anticipation. there was posted on the door a most comforting telegram from two of our number not able to he with us. Backstage we did the usual amount of peeking and line rehearsals at the last minute. Wheil the curtain finally opened and we realized that it was our friends, our Form. out there performing. we kinda' raised our heads a little higher.
