SPARK IS PUBLISHED BY JOURNALISM CLASS. Mary Ann Gusler Editor Mona Bishop Assistant Editor Violet Hubbard Business Manager Mrs. Poston points out the different kinds of type to Mary Arm Gusler and Joy Smith. ' ' 'Y Artist The SPARK was published by the new Journalism class sponsored by Mrs. Poston. Those five students who contributed to the publication were: Mary Ann Shires, Roy Hopkins, Elva Adkins, Phyllis Bullard, and Eddie Gibson. A new column was added this year called We Honor These. In each issue a boy and girl were h 0 no r e d for outstanding accom- plishments. Each class was represented in this column. Joy Smith, the feature editor, was chosen by Mrs. Poston to attend a press seminar at Washington gl Lee University. Joy and David Jones were outstandingwriters for the news- paper.
