Among the This year's Field Kindley Ban was y many services the band performed was the providing of music for pep assemblies, athletic contests, and partici- pating in various civic parades. An annual event in which the band participated was the SEK Band Festival held at Independence this year. One of the highlights of the year was the band's participance in Kindley Kavalkade. The band was featured in the show's finale and this was the first time that they have ever been used. Ensembles and soloists from the band entered the spring music contests. The district contest was held at Pittsburg and the state at Emporia.
