A.A.g Marilyn Metzer, The Senior Class of 1956 entered Field Kindley as lowly Sophomores in 1952. Mike Logan headed the class with Judy Toney and Mary Louise Scott as helpers. Forty-five girls belonged to Waitress Club and nominated Liz Littrell as their president. Steve Davis was our nominee for King Kay the Fifth. We had a nice representation in Sigma Pi as well as in the annual Kavalkade. As all important Juniors we had Charles Ek- lund as president, with Dee Lloyd Roberts and Marilyn Metzer holding the other offices. Charles Eklund reigned as King Kay the Sixth, due to our hard work. Herman Bynum was the vice-president of the student council. Jack Metzen was the presi- dent of the Junior Red Cross Council. The Junior play l'No More Homework was the best ever given. Our Junior-Senior reception and prom furnished the Seniors with the gay Mardi Gras . Our boys made aagood showing in the various sports of the year. Then as Mighty Seniors in the fall of the year we elected Herman Bynum, president, John Kloehr, vice-president, and Dorothy Caresio, secretary- treasurer. Judy Toney was our only cheerleader and also reigned as our football queen. Senior presidents Drum Corps, Nancy McFerrin, Kayettesg Mary Louise Scott, Tilliesp Jack Metzen, Junior Red Cross, Mike Logan, choirg Vick Falkner, Hi-Yg and Don Oneslager, band. Darrell Rice lead the band and Shirley Hargis was at the head of the Drum Corps. Charles Smith, Bill Bowen, Jerry Doop, Mike Logan, Tony Grubbs, Gerald Livingston, Melvin Fields, Steve Davis, Don Morris, Dee Lloyd Roberts, Mike McCool and Larry Gallagher were outstanding in football. While in basketball Don Morris, Steve Davis, Tony Grubbs, Percy Lyle and Al Tate fall- state Junior and Senior year, were in the limelight. Roger Hendrix and Jerry Doop, co-captained the swimming team in its same winning way with the help of Herman Bynum and Eddie Weber. Our track men were: Mike McCool, Steve Davis, Carl Barker, Melvin Folk, Tony Grubbs fco-captainj, and Dee Lloyd Roberts Cco-captainl. The golf players included John Vakas, Jack Howard, and Don Morris.
