Tony “Tish” Lawrence Tony “Tish” Lawrence had an excellent year on the basketball court. Tony, playing as a forward, scored a total of 714 points. He held a 27.46 scoring average whicn was the highest in the St. Louis metropolitan area. Tony averaged 12 rebounds per game, and led the metro area with 120 steals. Tony received honors as the St. Louis Post-Dispatch Athlete of the Week, after his 51 point performance against the St. Pius Lancers. Tony then was a unanimous choice to the JCAA All-Conference First Team, then county athlete of the year, Globe- Democrat First Team All-District. Finally, Tony was the only unanimous choice for the Class 3A First Team All-State.
