Tynes has been in the Festus R-6 School System for 32 years; 27 years of which he served as Superintendent. three years as Elementary Principal, and two years as high school principal and coach. Superintendent Tynes is a 32° Mason KCCH, a member of the Board of Trustees of the Methodist Church, and a member of the Board of Stewards. Among the degrees Mr. Tynes has received, are a B.S. from Central Missouri State. Warrensburg, and a Masters Degree from the University of Missouri. Mr. Tynes has also done additional work at the University of Missouri and University of St. Louis. Superintendent Tynes is a member of the N.E.A., A.A.S.A., Phi Delta Kappa, M.A.S.A., the Missouri Teachers Association, Chamber of Commerce and Rotary Club. He is also an active member of the Jefferson County Board of Education, the State Board of Tubercular and Respiratory Disease, and past President of Southeast Missouri Teachers Association. Leslie E. Spurgeon, Principal () Principal Leslie E. Spurgeon has been in the Festus R-6 School System for eight years;- years as a teacher and assistant principal and years as principal. Mr. Spurgeon is a member of the First Baptist Church of Festus-Crystal City, a Deacon and Director of the Youth Department, and Chairman of the t4efH Rj « g Committee. 5' 5,■£ Ti 1 Lj 04 c-e. Mr. Spurgeon has received a B.S. and Masters degree from the University of Missouri. Active in the community, Mr. Spurgeon is a member of the M.S.T.A., J.C.T.A., the Festus C.T.A., Jefferson County Masters, the District and State and National Secondary School Principals, the State and National School Administrators, Phi Delta Kappa, Lions Club President from 1970-71, a Mason Past Master, an Eastern Stars Past Patron, and a 32° Mason. Principal Spurgeon was also President of the Central Missouri Teachers District Association at Rolla from 1946 to 1947, and Superintendent of Schools at Owensville for 18 years. Assistant Superintendent Robert L. Tucker Robert L. Tucker has been in the Fes-tus R-6 School System for 13 years. During that time he has served as an elementary school teacher and principal, social studies teacher at thejunior high and acting high school principal and assistant superintendent. He is a member of the Methodist Church, a Sunday school teacher, and a member of the Administrative Board. Assistant Superintendent Tucker, a veteran of the Korean war, is a former Jaycee, Rotarian, and a member of the Festus Library Board. He has a B.S.E. and M.S.E. from Arkansas State University. Assistant Principal Robert E. Pryor Robert L. Pryor has been in the Festus R-6 School System for 12 years; ten years of which he was a math teacher and two years as an Assistant Principal. A member of the Baptist Church, he is actively involved in M.S.T.A., J.C.T.A., the Festus C.T.A., School Masters, and the District, State, and National Secondary School Principals. Principal Pryor has a B.S. in chemistry from the College of the Ozarks at Clarksville, Arkansas, and an M.S.T. in math from the University of Missouri at Rolla. He is also Past President of the Festus C.T.A. and the Mineral Area Teachers Association. He is currently President of the Jefferson County Masters Association. Director Of Curriculum Robert L. Shoush Robert L. Shoush has been a member of the Festus R-6 School System for 15 years, during which he served as Senior High School Principal and Director of Curriculum. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church and serves on the church board. He is teacher of the Wesley class. Mr. Shoush is a member of the M.A.S.S.P., A.A.S.A., M.A.S.A., M.A.S.C.D., the Missouri Teachers Association, Jefferson County Teachers Association, the C.T.A., and has served as an adviser to the Demolay for several years. His degrees are a B.S. in education and a Master of Arts in school administration from Northeast Missouri State, with further work at the University of Missouri. Director Of Guidance Services Terry Coleman Mr. Terry Coleman has been in the Festus R-6 School System for 6 years; he was a social studies teacher for one year, elementary school counselor for two years, and Director of Guidance Services in the R-6 District for three years. He has spent four years as Evaluator for the R-6 Title Program. He is a member of the Grace Presbyterian Church, and sponsor of the church’s Senior High Youth Group. Mr. Coleman was past vice-president of and is the 71-72 president, of the Jefferson County District Education Association.
