Donna Wilfong, Alumni, registers while Jo Ellen Grohs and Miss Moody welcomes her to the Christmas Tea. Alumni, faculty, their wives and husbands, and senior girls of Festus Senior High School were guests at the annual Home Economics Christmas Tea on December 23 at the high school on Westwind Drive. In preparation for the event the girls in Miss Moody's Home Economics classes decorated their modern classroom in grand style. The main color theme of the Tea was red on white. Many variations of this theme were represented throughout the room. Especially striking was the Christmas Tree. The girls had made it themselves out of white cloth and brightly colored balls. Christmas Tea the Beautiful Event of Year Two or three hundred guests were entertained throughout the afternoon. Jane Baumstark, Becky Englehardt, Tom Ganser, Carolyn Esch, and Diana Sterns Sweeney, Mike Turley, Sandra Estok, Joy wait in line for refreshments at the Tea. The Home Economics Christmas Tree was made of material and eggs.
