Festus Goes Cosmopolitan The Kicking Specialist.' Cevdet finds his American sister in Beverly. Cevdet Caner, son of Mrs. Nec-la and Mr. Sevki Caner, was born October 11, 1946 in Istanbul, Turkey. Cevdet has a sister Canan and a brother Neset. He attended the Talas American School for Boys. Our foreign exchange student's reason for coming to America was to learn American culture, to understand, and to bring our nations closer together. His American parents are Mr. and Mrs. Claude Holligan. Cevdet plans to return to East meets the West for the second time at Festus. America in two years to attend Missouri University or the Rolla School of Mines and Metalurgy. Cevdet is the second foreign exchange student at Festus. Nora Prudkin, of Argentina, was here in 1963. His subjects include: Library, Physics, Lang. Arts., Chemistry, Algebra II, Speech, and Social Studies III. Cevdet's active participation and versatility have made him at home in Festus, and Festus at home with him.
