After the annual went to press last year, the 1956-57 Mixed Chorus was invited to be the guest chorus at the Music Festival in Cape Girardeau, April 12, 1957. The 1957-58 Mixed Chorus, under the direction of Mrs. Elsie Raines, gave their first performance at the annual Christmas Candlelight Service, December 20, 1957. This year the Mixed Chorus again participates in the district contest at Cape Girardeau as in the past year. If they receive a T” rating, they will go to Columbia for the state contest.
