Jottwwtaw’ £eade t s - Metwc Society, OFFICERS Ken Aubuchon President Dorothy Cautrell Vice-President Judy Bolle Secretary Jim Yost Treasurer The National Honor Society is one of the oldest clubs in our high school. To become a member one must have an S” average. Every year students are picked from the Sophomore class as probationary members and they must maintain the S average for a year before becoming regular members. As the yearly projects they present the Christmas Candle-lighting Service in December and install new members in February. The Society promotes scholarship, leadership, character, and service. Mrs. Genevieve Holligan sponsors this group. SENIOR MEMBERS In Center: Ronnie Butler, Ken Aubuchon. first Row, Going Up: Jackie Bryant, Dorothy Cautrell, Barbara Vogt, Pat Mclver, Audrey Klein, Gloria Cook, Sharon White, Janice Hill. Second Row, Going Up: Bill Hewitt, Jim Yost, Judy Bolle, Norma Jercinovic, Ruth Porchey, Trudy Matthes, Pat Walton, Jim Lindenberger. Absent: Peggy Tynes.

During the past five years our Student Council has sponsored many activities through the various committees. This year, under the able leadership of Dick Siebert, it sponsored the Student of the Month through the Awards and Honors Committee; the first drills through the Safety Committee; the Community Chest Drive, the Canned Food Drive, and the Polio Drive through the Welfare Committee; the Christmas decorations at school through the Buildings and Grounds Committee and the Christmas music in Assembly through the Social and Recreational Committee. The Club Committee checked Club Constitutions and the Student Council itself had a Polio Drive, a Clothing Drive and a Hospital Drive. The Council also held the Twirp Dance. During the year they sent representatives to State and National conventions. Also several members were sent to the Student Council workshop.
