During the past five years our Student Council has sponsored many activities through the various committees. This year, under the able leadership of Dick Siebert, it sponsored the Student of the Month through the Awards and Honors Committee; the first drills through the Safety Committee; the Community Chest Drive, the Canned Food Drive, and the Polio Drive through the Welfare Committee; the Christmas decorations at school through the Buildings and Grounds Committee and the Christmas music in Assembly through the Social and Recreational Committee. The Club Committee checked Club Constitutions and the Student Council itself had a Polio Drive, a Clothing Drive and a Hospital Drive. The Council also held the Twirp Dance. During the year they sent representatives to State and National conventions. Also several members were sent to the Student Council workshop.
