Student Council In the spring of 1953 Lloyd Brunkhorst was elected Student Council president. Members also elected were: Seniors—Watson Akins, Andy Bayer, Dwayne James and Bea McCormack. Juniors—Lonnie Boyd, Jim Eisenbeis, Bill Klien and Leslie Stewart. Sophomores —Joan Brunkhorst, Bill Jackson, Tom Lovelace and Donald Smith. The Freshman members were elected in the fall of 1953. Those elected were: Bill Akins, Carolyn Dreyer, Larry Jarvis and Diane Hartman. Student Council committees were formed. They are: Building and Grounds Committee: Chairman, Dwayne James. Welfare Committee: Chairman, Leslie Stewart. Librarians Committee: Joan Brunkhorst, Chairman. Awards and Honors Committee: Bill Jackson, Chairman. Club Committee: Watson Akins, Chairman. Safety Committee: Lonnie Boyd, Chairman. Assembly Committee: Bea McCormack, Chairman. Recreation and Social Committee: Andy Bayer, Chairman.
