jfe yjreszbfznf cspeafs' This year marks the 50th anniversary of the found- ing of Ferrum Junior College. Through the years many young men and women have joined the ranks of loyal students who through their participation in the program of the school have had a part in the growth and develop- ment of the College. They have shared the honored tra- ditions and have gone forth to make them even more meaningful in life. They have joined the other men and women of our church and state who founded the college and who have nurtured it through the years. All of us have an awareness of the deep indebtedness we owe to those who have blazed the trails over which this educa- tional enterprize has traveled. You who are currently enrolled or who will leave these sacred portals this year have entered into this fabric and joined with those of yesteryears who have made this institution what it is. To each of you who is graduated lies the responsi- bility to hold high the torch of loyalty and devotion to your alma mater. Through the years you will continue to be a part of Ferrum's growth both in prestige and service. In the afterglow of fifty years the college girds itself to face the responsibilities of the second half cen- tury of service with firm resolve and high dedication. May you too hold high the torch as you continue your journey through the years to come. Q.WE?Qg GLIMPSES OF THE PRESIDENT'S ATTRACTIVE HOME jx WL' Ziff A' . EF --'. .' 2 I' - 5E5:'.-Qs. , il' ' , ,'
