CAMPUS The Administration Building was e- rected in 1917, at a cost of S23,000.00, when building cost a great deal less than it does now. The basement provides a laboratory for the teaching of chemistry, physics and agriculture, two classrooms and two large laboratories. On the first floor are four class rooms, a general of- fice andthe principal's office, on the sec- ond floor a beautiful auditorium, four classrooms, two of which may be thrown into the auditorium by means of folding doors, and two piano practice rooms. Today with histories as taken from 1925 catalogue Wesley Hall, formerly used as a dor- mitory for girls, is now used for boys. This building was erected in 1913 and is of concrete and brick. It is heated by steam and lighted by electricity and will accommodate 125 people. The bedrooms are furnished with white enameled iron beds and matresses, bureau, chairs, ta- bles, and closets. The building is pro- vided with stationary washstands, bath tubs, 'showers and hot and cold water on three floors. Inthebasement are the de- partments of music and home economics. , 1: - ' V ,Hi .Q NU The laundry and library is a brick building with slate roof, one story high 100 feet long and 35 feet wide. It was built in 1921 and contained a power house, a steam laundry and the Heidelbach Li- brary. The Library is twenty feet by 30 feet by 35 andthere is a fire Wall between the library and the laundry. The library is the gift of the Woman's Missionary So- ciety of Mt. Vernon Church, Danville, Va., and of Mr. and Mrs. F. S. Heidelbach, of Danville. Mrs. Heidelbach was, for ele- ven years, the President of this society, and is now, and has been from the begin- ning, a trustee of Ferrum School. The Library is furnished t h r o u g h o ut with Globe Wernicke bookcases, most of which were given by Mr. and Mrs. Heidelbach. A beautiful table, chairs, Wilton carpet and handsome curtains, have been pro- vided and there are more than 3,000 vol- umes of most excellent and helpful books.
