Hardy, of Bedford, Va. who has for many years felt a call to mission work, has offered her services as ho u s e - keeper without salary, and has be en accepted. T, ,, Q , FERRUM TRAINING SCHOOL CONTRACT WITH STUDENTS 1925 Therefore, I, the undersigned student of said school, solemnly covenant and agree, and pledge my sacred word of honor that, l. If I pay the school in cash less than one hundred dollars per session, I agree to work for the school thirty days during vacation, at such time as the principal may need me, orlwill pay S30 cash at the close of school, or give my note for 5B50.00, payable in 90 days. 2. I will do everything in my power to come to school on the opening day of the session and remain until the session closes. 3, I will not use tobacco or whiskey in any form while a student in the school, nor will I secure them for any one else, or pain of dismissal for the first offense. 4. I will not use any profane or vulgar language, nor will I be willing istener to any one who does. 5. I will never tell a lie. 6. I will not play cards or any other game of chance. . I will never use the school knives, forks, or dishes without the con- ent of the housekeeper. . I will not scuffle or engage in any rough sport or game inside of any uilding or on the porches or in the halls. vm 9. I will not sit up at night later than ten o'clock without special per- mission. 10. I will not throw a ball, stone, snowball, or anything else on the east side of the walk. 11. I will be very quiet in the dormitories, out of respect to the ladies, as well as others. I will not run, nor slam doors, nor scream, nor speak in a rough or loud way, but will at all times conduct myself in a refined and polite manner. 12. I will not write notes to one of the opposite sex, nor will I pass such notes for others. 13. I will not engage in social conversation with one of the opposite sex, except as I am given permission to do so by the principal or his repre- sentative. 14. I will not become involved in a love affair with any of my fellow students, or with any of the teachers. 15. I will not quarrel or fight with any of my fellow students. 16. I will prepare for every recitation, test or examination as faithfully as I can, and I will at all times be a faithful and diligent student. 17. I will not study my lessons on Sunday. 18. I will attend chapel services daily.
