University of Chicago Anti gacuity The g e n er al supervision of college activities is the responsibility of Dean Beu, whose duties include teaching, working with the faculty in planning the academic pro- gram, supervising the academic work of the students, conferring with them about grades, credit, and courses. The weight of these responsibilities does not deter him from offering to the students his guidance, friendship, and sympathetic help with their academic problems. The Dean's Message: The success of a college requires the best combined vision, thinking, and cease- less effort of the faculty, students, alumni, staff, and members of the board of control. Concrete evidence of the foregoing is Rid- dick Hall and the Franklin Building which are now under construction. Another evidence of growth and progress is the increased enrollment in recent years. All of these things are due to the efforts of many people interested in the future success of Ferrum Junior College. All of us are working as a unit to pre- pare our stu d ent s scholastically and in character to give them the knowledge,skil1s, and courage to live in a secular age for them to take their places to help save it from moral sucide. May all our graduates continue to reflect glory upon our demo- cratic and Christian way of life based upon principles taught here at Ferrum Junior College. ,fa --...,-V-F-,g -Tw ar Je , aaa. ,vm ir 2 v ,,f, X miie' lovely home Dr. and Mrs Beu in
