Dedicated to a Memory Dear to Our Hearts We dedicate this 1960 BEACON to Ferrum Junior College. We dedicate not merely to the stone and the brick of which these buildings are made, to us, the real meaning of the school must be expressed in its ideals and high purposes for which it was founded. These pur po s e s have been realized through the years in which we have claimed Ferrum Junior College as our own. The campus where we have spent many hours g the corridors down which we have walked leisurely, or sped madly in fear of being late ,the classrooms in which we have struggled for knowledge --- with these our memories linger. The football games, the dances, the plays, that term paper -- these shall we remember. Friendships, joys, pains... each experience has had its small measure in the whole of our college lives. These buildings -- the stone and the brick --- are no longer ours thelmemories we shall carry with us as we graduate.
