The Friars, from University of Michigan, were sponsored by the All College Student Government, to bring more collegiate oriented entertainment to campus. A vocal octet which accompanies the University of Michigan Men's Glee Club, it has become the most outstand- ing small vocal group on their campus. Their repertoire consists of nearly 50 selections varying from barbershop to modern music, and an occasional rock 'n roll parady. The Chad Mitchell Trio, sponsored by Delta Tau Epsilon Fraternity, is a musicial group that combines the folk songs of the past with musical coments on the world today. The key to their success may be found in the individu- ality of the Trio itself. Their disregard for the conventional and flair for the unexpected has turned the Trio into one of the top folk and popular groups in the country. The Chad Mitchell Trio performs for a 'Mighty Day on Campus.' Vocal Groups Perform On Campus University of Michigan's Friars present a program for the student body on Halloween night.
