Q The Ferris Bulldog marching band spells out the school's letters in a marching formation on Home- coming Day. Alumni Return for 34th Annual Homecoming 'xml Luanne Begley, Queen of the 34th Annual Homecoming, is crowned at the pep rally by President Victor F. Spathelf. 10 The 34th Annual Homecoming, sponsored by Sigma Phi Epsilon, proved to be another exciting and success- ful weekend. The Homecoming Ball, which capped two days of festivities for the Ferris students and alumni took place in the Student Center, featuring Bob Eberhart's Orches- tra and the Lee Brandimore Quintet. The activities started with the Homecoming assembly, where the Final Candidates were announced. Festivi- ties continued with the pep rally, which included con- tests between fraternities and sororities, the appear- ance of the football team, music by the Ferris Bull- dog Marching Band, and the crowning of the queen, Luanne Begley, by President Victor F. Spathelf. Busy at work were dormitory residents constructing their outdoor displays and fraternities and sororities putting finishing touches on their floats. The Homecoming Parade, of more than 50 units, took place in downtown Big Rapids. In the parade were floats constructed by campus organizations depicting the T962 theme, This is Our Country. Following the parade the Ferris 500 pushcart race was held and the afternoon was topped off by the annual Homecoming football game.
